About Gold Vermeil: Vermeil (Pronounced Ver-May) is an overlay of gold on sterling silver. In order to be considered gold vermeil; the coating of gold must be at least 10 carat and 2.5 micrometers thick. 

About PVD Finish: The PVD process is a trade secret that uses proprietary techniques to tightly bond a substrate containing a combination of Carbon and Titanium. The process and coating uses a vacuum chamber which blasts the piece with a DLC (Diamond-like Carbon) coating. It is commonly used by Rolex and other fine watch manufacturers. PVD is an environmentally friendly vacuum coating process with no hazardous by products resulting brilliant decorative finishes with excellent wear and corrosion resistance.
